Capturing Immediacy - Building the Timeline
What is the value of now? In the therapeutic setting, many refer to the capture of data as part of the interview. When placing this data on the timeline of life, most times, you will be introduced to the Life Events and Difficulties Schedule or LEDS. Inpsyght uses this same approach to organize and structure the data points that are captured to build the timeline along with objective measures to self-evaluate and identify these events.
What’s in it for me?
Ever wish you could “figure it out” on your own? The concept of journaling is not new, but most of us don’t have the time or discipline. Inpsyght makes it easy to log in the data, interact with it, and get key insight into what is going on on your own without having it interpreted or organized by a mental health practitioner.
Wait, I’m a practitioner? Don’t I matter too?
We have not forgotten the strength of the therapeutic relationship and the need to access the data. When the client (user) chooses to share the data with you, you will have access to the timeline and all the relevant data. This expedites the understanding and time it takes to frame the narrative and self-disclosure, allowing for more concentrated needs to be assessed and shortening the intake or exploration phase of working with clients.
Dimensional not Conditional Framework
The application is based on a dimensional psychology model and theory that expands the relational points of our experience. The condition relates to the symptoms, but the human experience is more complex or dimensional and relies on the relationship of the cumulative experience to be expressed as an emotion or behavior. In order to make sense of it all, a simple and objective approach was needed to provide the basis for action. Interventions such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, etc.. are all action points in the therapeutic process, but what proceeds the action is where the magic sauce exists that provides the intention setting and underlying motivation.
How does that benefit me?
Every experience in life has a starting point. What provides our character or individual self is founded on a matrix of experience. This framework of who you are is built on conscious or subconscious action, environmental influences, and, of course, an innate sense of being. Taking the psychology out of it all is complex, but building a framework that relates to the human experience and makes it manageable provides a clear path toward understanding. Autonomy begins with awareness and a path towards the goal of wellness, wholeness, and oneness.
I am a CBT, DBT, EMDR master jedi, what the…
The framework of dimensional psychology was developed to simplify the practitioner and client relationship with objective data, not subjective interpretation. Traditional psychology is built on decades of well-intended theories and practices, but the tools of today, or more specifically, technology, allow data-driven facts to be captured in real-time without the labor and time of pulling this data from the interviews and sessions. The dimensional psychology model is based on the narrow objective input of the client so the practitioner can better define the subjective or realized emotions and feelings that attach to the needs of the client and the root cause of issues presented. The benefit to the client is that they have an opportunity to interact with the data or themselves and reflect on the meaning even before it is explored in a session.
